Junior Camp

If you think Elmo and the Teletubbies are fun, you’re right! But Stonybrook is even better, guys!

When I was 3 years old, I went to Stonybrook’s Junior Camp for the first time, and it was amazing! I can still remember when the Stonybrook bus picked me up from my house. I was kind of scared and not really sure I wanted to go, but then the bus turned out to be a lot of fun. With the Stonybrook counselor, we played games, sang songs, and even decorated our bus like a huge butterfly. We turned a plain yellow bus into a big colorful butterfly. Can you believe that?

The great thing about camp is how much fun you’ll have every step of the way and all of the friends you’ll make. When I first came to Stonybrook I really didn’t know anybody, but, by the end of the summer, I had, like, 15 friends—friends who come back to camp every year and who I stay in contact with during the year.

At Stonybrook you also get to do really cool things because they have so many activities to choose from. You get to swim everyday, of course, but you also get to play sports, cook, do the challenge course, and try anything else you’d like. Both the counselors and the specialists are always there to help you. They really want you to be safe and do your best.

At Junior Camp, you can come to camp for 3, 4, or 5 full days or 5 half days. It’s totally up to you.
